Context
This instructional guide is designed to assist interns at a fictional company in how to make a pie chart and then publish it to a Google Slide.
Challenges
Pie chart end users in sales and marketing were unsatisfied with the pie charts that company interns were creating. They needed their pie charts available faster and following a standard company style.
Solutions
This highly visual instructional guide lays out the company's 3-part process for creating a pie chart. It includes step-by-step detailed instructions along with screenshots and style guide call out boxes for each of the three steps: creating a data table from raw data, creating and customizing a pie chart, and publishing a pie chart to a Google Slide.
This 8.5 x 11 guide is designed to be viewable online from the company's staff intranet or be printed. This guide is referenced in the accompanying eLearning course.
Results
The pie chart end-users in the sales and marketing departments reported a notable increase in the quality and timely availability of the pie charts they needed to access. Interns reported that they felt much more confident in their pie chart making abilities.
